The successful candidate will report to the Quality Manager and be responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the quality assurance process.
Pay Scale: $80K – $95K per year depending on experience

The Role
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain quality records on internal results, internal corrective action process, MRB activity, RMA process and publishing reports to ADC Management for resolution.
- Work with manufacturing/quality staff to resolve or eliminate any quality issues disclosed by quality control process.
- Prepare required quality reports and follow up on any and all failure analysis/corrective action needed.
- Interface with customers to resolve quality issues. Investigate customer’s concerns regarding quality. Participate in various audits.
- Responsible for supporting the ISO Quality System.
- Participate in NPI meetings and collaborate with other departments as necessary on testing parameters relating to customer projects and programs.
- Provide ongoing manufacturing and quality engineering support to improve productivity and resolve issues.
- Oversee process development and control, designed to improve productivity and profitability while maintaining high outgoing quality.
- Review and analyze test equipment performance data
- Communicate with customers in a timely manner.
- Monitor, Communicate & Improve both Customer and Internal KPI’s.
- Serve as key point of contact for Customer complaints directed from Customer Service or the Customer directly for Root Cause Analysis as well as Corrective & Preventive Action and verification.
- To perform inspection duties for incoming & outgoing materials as required.
- Promote and Drive “Zero Defect” mentality within the quality Organization for proactive tools such as lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing, Measurement System Analysis, Advance System Analysis, Advance Product and Quality Planning (APQP) Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
- Participating in joint evaluations and investigations with engineering to assess product anomalies and provide root cause corrective action plans

The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Quality Engineer at Amphenol Industrial Operations – Mesa
- B.S. in Electrical, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering. ISO training preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of Quality Assurance experience. Working in new product development is a plus.
- Experience in cabling, module and sub-assembly testing, and inspection
- Excellent communication skills required, including being able to work with staff in China and Mexico that have English as a second language.
- Must have computer proficiency and knowledge of MS Word.
- Experience in maintaining a QMS that complies with ISO Certification
