Amphenol, a global leader in connectors, collaborated with Melni Technologies to address challenges in field connections for their solar division. Common issues included subpar crimps, installation errors, and compatibility issues with products from different manufacturers. Achieving precise crimps is inherently challenging. Inspired by the success of our MC Series, the idea emerged to create a Solar Connector. The result is the Amphenol RADCrimp with Melni Technologies, which has successfully undergone extensive in-house testing for compliance with IEC and UL standards.
In fact, when Underwriters’ Laboratories (UL) invited us to participate in a new test involving 10,000 cycles of lifting a three to four-pound weight under load (including Amperage, Voltage, Resistance, and Temperature factors), we excelled! The RADCrimp stands out as the fastest and most reliable solar connector available. We anticipate a long-lasting partnership with Amphenol, characterized by ongoing innovation.
