Description
The Amphenol Industrial Operations’ MSD Series is specifically designed for industrial and commercial energy storage applications. It is capable of carrying up to 350A at 1500V DC, providing robust performance in high-power environments. The MSD features chip-type power and signal contacts, a handle-locking mechanism, high voltage interlock (HVIL), and CPA functions. When assembled, the plug and socket meet the IP68 protection rating, ensuring reliability even in harsh conditions.
The product’s shell is made from durable nylon material, while the contacts are crafted from copper alloy, with the socket tail featuring M8 stud terminals for secure connections. The MSD can withstand up to 200 mating cycles, operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, and has a UL 94V-0 flammability rating. Its compact design, ease of operation, and cost-efficiency make it an ideal solution for energy storage systems that require safe, efficient manual disconnect capabilities.
